Care Guide

Care & Maintenance:

Your 100% Mulberry silk pieces deserve gentle care to preserve their natural sheen and luxurious texture. Hand-wash your items in cold water using a mild, enzyme-free detergent formulated for delicate fabrics. Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and harsh chemicals that can weaken the silk fibers. For those who prefer machine washing, place garments or accessories in a mesh laundry bag, select the delicate or silk cycle, and use cold water with a pH-neutral detergent. Smaller pieces like bonnets, sleep masks, and scrunchies should be spot-cleaned or hand-washed, gently pressed (never wrung), and air-dried flat. Silk responds best to neutral or slightly acidic water, so using filtered or distilled water can help maintain its smooth finish.

Instructions:

After washing, let your silk air dry naturally—never tumble dry, as heat can damage the fibers. If wrinkles appear, lightly iron on the lowest heat setting while the fabric is slightly damp, or use a handheld steamer for a safe, effortless smooth. Store your silk in a cool, dry space away from direct sunlight to protect its color and softness. Avoid hanging silk gowns for long periods, as this may stretch the fabric. For deeper cleaning, dry cleaning is acceptable, but hand washing remains the most sustainable and gentle option. With proper care, your Setonn silk accessories and nightgowns will remain timeless, soft, luminous, and designed to last.
